Build the Specification Around Your Logistics Process
Giant Flexpack’s custom solution covers thermal container liners, pallet covers, woven dry bulk liners and PE film liners. Customization includes adjustments to dimensions, materials, thickness, structure and functional features for different cargo and handling arrangements.
Standard containers, 30ft formats, non-standard bins, rail wagons and pallet loads have different fit and access requirements. Start with the actual dimensions and loading process, then agree which construction and openings should be reviewed. A general customization description does not confirm a finished specification for every application.
Starting Points for a Custom Packaging Discussion
The four models below illustrate existing bulk-liner and pallet-cover formats. Also compare PE film liners and thermal container liners where those formats better match the proposed shipment.
For granular dry bulk cargo; match filling and discharge arrangements.
Malt-focused format; review cargo-contact needs and the spout layout.
For palletized loads; confirm packed dimensions and fastening points.
Allow for the foam-core profile and the cover closure around the load.
Prepare a Custom Packaging Specification
Provide Dimensions and Drawings
Include usable container or pallet dimensions, door clearances, load height and fixing points. For non-standard bins or equipment, provide a drawing and identify any areas where the liner or cover must allow access.
Describe Material Requirements
State the cargo, route, handling conditions and required moisture, temperature or sifting protection. Discuss material construction and thickness with any cargo-compatibility or documentation requirements. The final choice should relate to the actual application.
Define Openings and Handling
Explain filling, discharge, closures and the loading sequence. Provide connection dimensions where the liner meets equipment. Discuss accessories and installation needs before confirming the design for production.
Custom Packaging Questions
Which features can be discussed for customization?
Customization can include dimensions, materials, thickness, structure, accessories and functional features. Identify the required protection, container or pallet format, openings and handling method so a proposed specification can be reviewed.
Can non-standard containers or bins be considered?
The custom solution includes non-standard formats alongside standard container and pallet applications. Provide the usable dimensions, clearances, fixing points and equipment layout. Confirm the proposed geometry and construction for the actual application.
Should I choose a material before requesting a quote?
You can provide a preferred construction if one is already specified. Otherwise, describe the cargo, route and handling requirements first. Review suitable constructions and the relevant specifications before confirming the material and thickness.
Can a drawing help with the design review?
Yes. Drawings help identify dimensions, openings, connection points and access restrictions for a non-standard arrangement. Include the loading and discharge sequence and any installation constraints alongside the drawing.
Discuss a Custom Liner or Pallet-Cover Design
Choose packaging advice, a product quotation or a custom design request. Add the specifications you know; cargo, name and email are the only required fields.
