How to Choose a Container Liner or Thermal Cover

Start with the shipment and handling process. A suitable packaging choice depends on the load format, the cargo and the conditions it will face—not just a material name.

1. Match the shipping format

For a full container, compare container liner options. For individual pallet loads or mixed shipments, consider a pallet cover. Refrigeration blankets address a different application: open supermarket display cabinets.

2. Define the protection needed

Separate thermal insulation needs from moisture, contamination and powder-containment requirements. Thermal liners and covers provide passive insulation; they do not replace active refrigeration when a shipment requires controlled cooling.

3. Check fit and handling

Confirm container or pallet dimensions, cargo type and weight, filling and discharge methods, route duration and handling conditions. Read the product specifications and discuss any temperature targets or special requirements before choosing a format.

Container Liner & Thermal Packaging Questions

Which liner should I consider for dry bulk cargo?

Compare woven dry bulk liners and PE film liners against the material being shipped and the loading process. Powder, grain, pellets and other bulk materials can require different containment, moisture protection and discharge arrangements. Check the individual specification rather than assuming all liners suit every cargo.

Are thermal container liners the same as refrigerated containers?

No. Thermal container liners are passive insulation systems that help reduce heat transfer. They do not actively cool cargo. The appropriate solution depends on your temperature requirements, shipping route and duration; temperature-sensitive shipments may require active refrigeration or a validated combination of measures.

Should I use a container liner or a pallet cover?

A container liner protects cargo at the full-container level. A pallet cover encloses an individual pallet load. Consider how the cargo is grouped, whether the container is shared, and when protection is needed during storage, loading and transport.

What information is useful when requesting a quote?

Provide the cargo or product type, container size or external pallet dimensions, shipment weight, expected route and duration, loading and unloading method, and approximate order quantity. Include any temperature targets, food-contact requirements or other application-specific conditions so the options can be discussed accurately.
